Ryder's Birthday Party

We had Ryder's party after his birthday because we had so many other things going on.  Lauren's wedding, my finals, my graduation and Ryder's birthday all happened within a couple weeks so we took a break before having his party so we wouldn't be so rushed.

This is how the table looked before the party started. It was a super hero theme and Jill did a great job of making all the decorations. She had signs for all the food and the paper cones on the right for the homemade french fries Jason made. We served them in the cones and everyone thought that was a fun idea and it was a handy way to eat them.

                                                               The Spider man cake.

                                                              Ryder, Isla and Rimmi.

We're waiting!!!

                                                             Birthday boy shoveling it in.

Happy boy!

                                                            Isla enjoying her cake.

                                                                     Presents.

What is that?

Robert doesn't look happy but he was....really!  That's Nili, my friend talking to Lauren.

This is Siri, Nili's daughter. She doesn't look happy either but she just ate cake so who wouldn't be happy. It was chocolate cake with custard and banana filling. It was so good, there was barely any left.

The big guns. He got this great car.

                                                               And there they go.

We have a pinata at every celebration and everyone loves it. It is hilarious and the best part of the party.

He's naked (almost) because they were in the bounce house/water slide. It was about 107 degrees.

The kids don't keep their blindfolds on. Cheaters!!

But they do have fun. Grandpa mans the rope that moves it up and down.

There goes Isla. She isn't a cheater, she keeps in on. Go Isla!!

She has an arm on her and she can beat that pinata!

She had enough of the blindfold....

Most of the adults don't like to participate in the pinata whacking but Lauren likes to. She is a good sport and Isla gets her good arm from her mom.

                                                                      Get it Lauren!!

Everyone stay back!! She's vicious with that stick!

I take my turn and I have to say, I can hit it hard too.

This is all that is left of the poor pinata when we get through with it....so much fun!

I didn't get any photos of the kids in the bounce house because honestly it was just too hot to go out there! After the pinata most of us went back in the house. Jeffrey took the kids in the hot tub for awhile because for some reason they love it. Then back to the bounce house. We kept them sprayed down with sunscreen and the water was flowing on the bounce house and the slide so the kids didn't get sunburned but they were tired when it was over. Ryder had droopy eyes before bedtime and Isla fell asleep on the way home. It was a good party and we all had a great time!
