Easter, Graduation, Birthday...

We had a little Easter egg hunt for the kids in the backyard. We hid a couple hundred eggs out there and since they are 2 and 3 years old, it was hilarious. Once they understood what they were supposed to do, they were excited and running all over looking for more eggs.

The little one got some extra help from mama but he did a good job on his own.

Our little princess taking a break to check out the goods.

Don't be fooled. He's only showing the egg. He wouldn't let go of it.

There buckets were dumped into bigger baskets when they got filled up.

Look at that little grin.

Mamas and the babies.

Any more?

Getting distracted.

I think I had a better time watching them than they did finding the eggs. They were so happy when they found one and showed it off for us to see. They didn't even know what was inside, they were just happy to find them.  We had filled them with sticky foam animals and a few candies. Before the hunt, they got their Easter baskets filled with the usual--a stuffed toy, other little toys and a few candies. We don't like them to have candy but for special occasions we let them. We can't be heartless! Lauren and Isla came the day before and spent the night with us so the kids were together to get their baskets first thing in the morning just like their mamas and their uncle did when they were little. We spent a nice day together and ate too much ham dinner and dessert but that's what we do on holidays.
I am catching up so next post will be graduation (mine) but right now I have to get to bed.
a late bloomer
