Could it get any busier...

Well, actually, yes but let's hope not, at least for awhile. I have gone to the student government meeting to present the plan for the Diversity committee I am on, the school board meeting which was highly disappointing and a meeting with one of  my professors. She nominated me for a scholarship so I have to get the application and essay in on Monday. It was so nice of her to think of me and I am grateful. I spend all day yesterday or at least a good part of it doing statistics homework. It isn't really difficult but it takes forever for each problem. It's excrutiatingly slow and it drives me crazy because I'm used to getting my math homework done quickly.  After I finished it was time to go get my monthly massage.  Don't get too jealous. It isn't a spa kind of relaxing thing, it is a theraputic deep down, it hurts for a couple of days kind of massage. I have problems with my neck and if you add that I hold  and lift the baby who now weighs almost 30 lbs, well, I'll just say a massage helps. Also, I carry my stress in my back and neck like a lot of people so I feel better immediately afterwards but the next couple of days, I'm sore.  She also did something on my face that was supposed to help my sinus problem and it worked really well.
After my massage, I went to pick up our little guy and he was so happy to see me, it just made my day.  I took him to get a haircut which I should have photographed but I forgot, and then he went with me to get Starbucks before we went home.  He has allergies or something that is making him cough so he hasn't been feeling too well but even under the weather he is still such a happy little guy. We got home and played and then I made him some dinner which he didn't eat very much of since he isn't well. He loves his applesauce so he did eat that. Soon, it was bedtime for him and homework time for me.
I have tons of reading and notetaking to do and that takes time and some quiet so I haven't been keeping up on other things like dinner.  I decided to try a new recipe a week because for me, the hard part about dinner isn't really making it, it is trying to think of something to make. So maybe a new recipe will give me some incentive.  So now I have to find one to try. I have tons of cookbooks and recipes I've clipped so it shouldn't be hard.
Today I went and got my hair colored and cut.  I usually color it myself but once in awhile, about 3 times a year, I let my hair guy do it. He cut it quite a bit shorter than usual because it was in  bad shape at the bottom and because I felt like something different.  It is usually on the long side and still is really but shorter than usual.  It was really bugging me because it looked raggedy at the ends but now it's beautiful and shiny and healthy.
It's supposed to rain this week starting on Tuesday for a few days so I finally get to wear my rainboots I got back in December.  They are really cute and they're even comfortable.
I better go and get on that reading now.

Happy week-end!

  1. You got your hair shorter and mine is growing. It's almost to my shoulders. Time for a trim. Not sure how I want it yet, we'll see. Congrats on you scholarship nomination. I have every confidence in you that you will get it. Talk to you soon (I hope).
